Sabine Pfeiffer is a member of bidt’s Board of Directors and has been teaching and researching as a professor of sociology with a focus on technology, labour and society at the Nuremberg Campus of Technology (NCT) of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg since 2018. “Work in change” runs like a thread through Sabine Pfeiffer’s curriculum vitae: She learned operational and organisational structures and production processes in practice as a trained toolmaker. She added a scientific perspective to her expertise with a subsequent degree in sociology at the FernUniversität Hagen and a subsequent doctorate. Stations in her career included the ISF Munich – in research and on the board. Sabine Pfeiffer already held professorships at the University of Applied Sciences Munich and the University of Hohenheim before she accepted the call to the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU).
