Dr. Andreas Wenninger

Dr. Andreas Wenninger is a Research Coordinator at the bidt. He is responsible for the research area of “Communication, Society and Participation”. Since 2015, he has been a member of the DFG Research Group 2448 “Evidence Practices in Science, Medicine, Technology and Society”. From 2015-2019 he was a Research Associate at Technical University of Munich (Digital Media Lab of the Munich Centre for Technology in Society and at the Chair of Sociology of Science). Previously, he was a research assistant at the Faculty of Sociology at Bielefeld University. He studied sociology, social psychology and philosophy at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich from 2000 to 2005. His research interests include science communication and social media, media and the public sphere, and participatory science/citizen science.
