AI vs. Other Technologies – Perspectives from Computer Science, Psychology, and Philosophy

The research group investigates how artificial intelligence differs from previous technological developments and how it is transforming our society. The focus is on what makes AI unique compared to other technologies and what new challenges and opportunities this presents.

The research integrates diverse perspectives: Computer science analyzes the technical foundations and possibilities of AI, psychology examines its effects on humans—particularly on cognitive processes and interactions with AI systems—and philosophy reflects on ethical and fundamental questions regarding its use. The goal is to connect these perspectives and develop a holistic understanding of AI.
