Brief description of the doctoral project
The PhD project focuses on the use of AI-driven methods for detecting hate speech in multi-modal online content, including text, audio, image, and video formats. The main objective is to improve detection performance by using techniques such as model fine-tuning, designing multi-agent systems for cooperative decision-making, and mitigating existing biases. Besides technical innovations, the research will explore the linkages with related issues such as fake news, disinformation, and online extremism, which have gained importance due to the ongoing shift towards digital communication spaces. The expected results will deepen the understanding of digital communication dynamics and provide practicable interventions for platform operators, government agencies, and civil society organizations seeking to promote a safer online environment.
