Statement in favour of an open society and free research

In view of increasing anti-democratic and misanthropic tendencies, we take a clear stance against all forms of anti-democracy, discrimination and racism. The bidt therefore fully supports the Bavarian Academy of Sciences’ statement “Never again is now!”. Science thrives on the exchange of diverse perspectives, disciplines and people. At our institute, we therefore promote a research environment characterised by respect, openness and mutual understanding and bring together scientists from Bavaria and around the world.

Together, we want to contribute to shaping the (digital) future of society responsibly and in a way that is orientated towards the common good.
