On the occasion of the admission of the second cohort of doctoral researchers to the bidt Graduate Center, the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation hosts a network meeting.
The aim of the event – in addition to presenting the Graduate Centre and its working groups – is, in particular, to enable the doctoral researchers of the new cohort to network with each other and the first cohort’s doctoral researchers. For this purpose, the doctoral candidates can introduce themselves and their dissertation topic in a short presentation.
In addition, already established members of the Graduate Center can meet in the respective working groups in a concentrated and lively atmosphere.
A guided tour of the BAdW sister institute of bidt, the Leibniz Computing Centre at the Garching Research Centre, is planned for later in the afternoon. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to round off the day together in the beer garden.
For doctoral students of the second cohort, the event is intended as a kick-off meeting and is therefore generally recommended. With regard to the round of introductions, please prepare a slide about yourself and your research project and send it to the e-mail address below. Doctoral students of the first cohort and postdocs are cordially invited to participate in the event and inform us of this by e-mail to facilitate the event’s planning.
