Lecture series: Digital Sustainability in Artificial Intelligence

This year's public lecture series on digitalisation is specifically dedicated to the topic of digital sustainability.

Speaker: Matthias Stürmer (University of Applied Sciences Bern)

New AI models and their applications, such as ChatGPT, are currently experiencing a lot of hype and will continue to form important foundations of digital transformation in the future. However, today’s AI developments are often driven by the private sector, which prevents transparency and commercial reuse. The lecture will show current examples and explain how digital sustainability and digital public goods address this problem.

About the lecture series

The Department of Computer Science at the CIT School of the TU Munich, in cooperation with bidt and the Faculty of Computer Science at the TU Vienna, organises a public lecture series on the topic of digitalisation. This year, the topic of digital sustainability will be examined from the perspective of different disciplines in order to achieve an overarching and interdisciplinary understanding of the matter.
