Lecture series: Sustainability, Competitiveness and Business Models

This year's public lecture series on digitalisation is specifically dedicated to the topic of digital sustainability.

Speakers: Sascha Friesike and André Ullrich (Weizenbaum Institute)

The lecture discusses concepts and practices that enable companies to operate in an ecologically and socially responsible way. The lecture focuses on the integration of sustainability principles into the core business of companies and highlights different approaches and strategies that companies can use to achieve their sustainability goals. Challenges of currently prevailing business model approaches, as well as current trends and developments in the field of sustainable business models, will be discussed. The aim of the lecture is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of how companies can contribute to meeting the challenges of the socio-ecological transformation and, at the same time, be commercially successful.

About the lecture series

The Department of Computer Science at the CIT School of TU Munich, in cooperation with bidt and the Faculty of Computer Science at TU Vienna, organises a public lecture series on the topic of digitalisation. This year, the topic of digital sustainability will be considered from the perspective of different disciplines in order to achieve an overarching and interdisciplinary understanding of the matter.
