Nicole Wloka

Nicole Wloka is policy advisor and cooperation manager at the bidt. She was previously managing director of a parliamentary think tank in the German Bundestag and can look back on more than 15 years of experience in federal politics. She graduated in History, Philosophy and Public International Law and has worked on various research projects, including an EU research project at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and as scientific coordinator at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities. She has also implemented a number of digitalisation projects in the public sector for one of the largest international digital agencies. Her focus is on the political dimensions of digital transformation: at the centre of her interests are connections between data, AI and state action, fair digital participation and digital literacy, disinformation in the context of democracy and society and the vision of a digitally sovereign Europe.
