Sebastian Nimsdorf
Science Communication Manager, bidt
Sebastian Nimsdorf is a Science Communication Manager at the bidt. He provides both technical and editorial support for the bidt website, guiding content from drafting through to publication, and is also responsible for the bidt newsletter. His role additionally includes the technical maintenance and further development of the website.
Previously, he gained web and editorial experience at KiKA, the children’s channel of ARD and ZDF, and worked at the bidt as a student assistant.
After studying Media Studies at the University of Regensburg, he completed his Master’s degree at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. During his studies, he specialised in media-archaeological and ideology-critical perspectives on digital hardware and software ecosystems, with a particular focus on hardware access, enclosure logics, and platform architectures.
