Dr. Marco Blank

Research Assistant, FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg

Dr. Marco Blank earned his Ph.D. at the bidt and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) on the topic of “Skilled Workers in Transition.” As a research assistant at FAU, he studies the transformation of (skilled) labor from the perspectives of the sociology of work and the sociology of education. He also teaches and conducts research on research methods, particularly mixed methods, at FAU and at the University of Applied Sciences in Kempten. Before beginning his research at FAU, he worked in development cooperation, including on vocational education reform in Serbia. Marco Blank is a sociologist and a certified IT specialist for system integration.
