Future Mobility Systems

Mobility is constantly evolving: Digital technologies enable new forms of mobility and multimodal systems that can address the diverse needs of different regions and population groups. The Future Mobility Systems working group investigates which factors—such as travel time, cost, or environmental impact—influence the choice of transportation modes and routes, and how digital platforms must be designed to be attractive and accessible. The focus is on how people can be encouraged to make sustainable and efficient mobility choices through targeted nudges. The goal is to develop innovative solutions that enable sufficient mobility and participation for everyone, regardless of age, driver’s license status, or place of residence.
