DataDuo – Data donations from educational platforms

Learning does not only take place in institutions such as schools or universities, but also in everyday life on non-formal, digital education platforms, for example in the form of language learning apps such as Duolingo. In this context, the question arises as to what role data donations from Duolingo users can play in the investigation of non-formal learning behavior.

The aim of the working group is to record the framework conditions (availability and retrievability of the data) and to develop future research questions from this and to carry out smaller quantitative or qualitative surveys.
