Daniel Stegmann is a research assistant in the Media Convergence department at the Institute of Journalism Studies at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. His current research focuses on investigating how analogue and digital media contribute to social cohesion. He is also interested in the relationship between media diversity and opinion power, the effects of the digital structural change of the public sphere on fragmentation processes and trust in the media.
