Body language for scientists

Workshop on topics such as your own appearance, rhetoric, moderation, interviews and media communication.

In the scientific field, too, personality and presence, in addition to professional qualifications, are decisive factors for successful careers. Body language plays the central role in this. The seminar provides a basic understanding of the meaning and mechanisms of body language in general and specifically in scientific contexts, i.e. in meetings, seminars, lectures, appraisals, appointment procedures, etc. The aim is to consciously use body language that is appropriate to the situation and anchored in the personality. The aim is to consciously recall body language that is appropriate to the situation and anchored in the personality. Special attention will be paid to the appearance in digital spaces. Exercises from theatre practice will help to put the new knowledge directly into practice.
