Brief description of the doctoral project
‘More data is better data.’ In digital healthcare, it is clear that not all people appear equally in the data. One prominent example is the gender data gap. This means that certain people are digitally ‘invisible’. The supposedly simple solution of collecting more data is scrutinised for its tipping points from a socio-anthropological and ethical perspective. The prerequisites and backgrounds of digital invisibility and its counterpart, digital exposure, are presented in the investigation of human visibility. Finally, an ethical-normative corridor of action for just vision in the digital world will be proposed.
