The challenges posed by digital transformation arise in many forms in the legal field. This slows down the evaluation of existing issues and makes targeted regulation more difficult. In order to reduce legal uncertainties and enable innovation, it is necessary to understand the abstract specifics of digital issues and their legal consequences. This will make it possible to identify the associated challenges and develop concrete approaches to solving them. On the one hand, the research project sheds light on how fundamental rights conflicts in digital situations can be effectively resolved, and on the other hand, whether and to what extent existing fundamental rights conflicts can be eliminated or mitigated by means of digitization.
