Robert Seyfert is a Professor of Sociology specialising in sociological theories at the Institute of Social Sciences at Kiel University. In addition to sociological theory, his research interests include the sociology of technology and the digital, algorithm cultures and digital communities. He heads the DFG-funded research project “The Governance of Algorithms”.
