Brief description of the doctoral project

On the road to the data economy, interorganisational ecosystems are opening up new perspectives by driving innovation and progress through the (shared) use of data. However, the exchange of data is currently heavily influenced by centralised, digital platforms. In order to counteract the resulting monopolistic structures, decentralised data ecosystems are increasingly being created to enable trust-based and fair collaboration (see Gaia-X). However, different corporate interests make joint value creation difficult. My doctoral thesis is therefore dedicated to the question of how effective collaboration can be made possible in the area of tension between cooperation and competition in decentralised data ecosystems.
