Nadja Bergelt-Stephan
Researcher, bidt
Nadja Bergelt-Stephan has been working as a researcher at the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt) since November 2026. As part of the ‘ReCreative’ research project, she is investigating the impact of generative artificial intelligence on creative processes, working practices and professional roles. A particular focus is on the interplay between human and artificial creativity (co-creation) and issues of shared agency between humans and AI.
Nadja Bergelt-Stephan completed two bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Philosophy at the University of Munich and subsequently obtained a master’s degree in Philosophy and Public Policy, with distinction, from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She has many years’ professional experience in brand and communication strategy and has held various senior positions in the creative and advertising industries.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of technology, creativity and social change. Her work centres on the question of how generative AI is transforming creative work and what new forms of human-technology collaboration are emerging as a result.
