
Mag. (FH) Michael Mürling
AIT Austrian Institute of Technology
Michael Mürling has more than 15 years of experience as a communications and marketing expert in the technology and innovation sector and heads the communications agenda at the Centre for Digital Safety & Security at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. He is responsible for the communication strategy for the AIT’s security research, advises interdisciplinary research groups on public appearances as a science communicator and is in charge of crisis communication in the event of media escalation. As a communications manager, he is involved in numerous AI projects in the context of security research and has extensive expertise in the application of forensic multimedia tools for the investigation of terrorist attacks or natural disasters, the detection of disinformation campaigns on the Internet, the detection of online fraud in e-commerce, or the protection of critical infrastructure from cyber attacks.
He is currently participating in the Artificial Intelligence for Public Services (AI4GOV) Master’s Programme, funded by the European Commission and run by the Polytechnic Universities of Madrid and Milan, and is in charge of R&D projects in the field of artificial intelligence and data science.
