Brief description of my doctoral project

X-ray images are a fundamental basis for diagnosis, but often provide only limited spatial insights. In my dissertation project, generative and analytical AI methods will be used to augment 2D images with structural information and reconstruct CT-like representations. A particular focus is on the reliability and interpretability of the models to ensure safe and practical application. The developed algorithms will be trained on real clinical datasets and evaluated for their practical utility directly in a medical setting. The goal is to provide targeted support for medical expertise through robust AI tools and to sustainably improve diagnostic accuracy in everyday clinical practice.
