Brief description of the doctoral project
Around one fifth of the population experiences mental health problems every year. Of these, around 70% remain untreated. Digital technologies can offer a transformative solution. As a practicing psychologist, I am exploring the critical intersection of technology and care in the digital age. My PhD project focuses on the effectiveness of health apps, which are being tested in meta-analyses for many disorders as well as in randomized controlled trials for people with alcohol dependence and elevated stress experience. The overarching goal is to optimize healthcare in order to ultimately reduce waiting times for patients and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of treatment.
