Prof. Dr. Jessica Heesen

Jessica Heesen is head of the research focus Media Ethics, Philosophy of Technology & AI at the Ethics Center of the University of Tübingen. She is a member of the scientific advisory group of the BMBF Platform Privacy, co-head of the working group “Law and Ethics” of the BMBF Platform Learning Systems and a member of the steering committee of the Tübingen Center for Digital Education (TüCeDE). Her work focuses on the cultural and ethical implications of digitalization and, in particular, the use of AI systems. Her research includes the question of how digital afterlife technologies could change the way we remember and mourn.
