Franziska Poszler

Franziska Poszler is a research associate at the Peter Löscher Endowed Chair of Business Ethics and the Institute for Ethics in AI at the Technical University of Munich. Her research interests include machine ethics, value-based development and moral psychology, with a particular focus on the reciprocal influences between AI systems and human ethical decisions. In the interdisciplinary project “AutoNomous DRiving Ethics”, she investigated how ethical principles can be integrated into the trajectory planning of autonomous vehicles. As a member of the AI4People Automotive Committee, she formulated ethical guidelines for autonomous vehicles, which were presented to representatives of the European Commission at the AI4People 2020 Summit. She leads the “MoralPLai” project, in which a research-based play is being developed as an example of creative science communication.
