Dr. Fariba Mostajeran is a research associate at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Hamburg. In her research, she combines research methods from different disciplines such as computer science, psychology and environmental sciences to investigate the effects of immersive media on users. This includes investigating the psycho- and physiological effects of exposure to and interaction with virtual and augmented realities on older and younger adults. She received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering-Software from the University of Isfahan (Iran), her Master of Science in Digital Media from the University of Bremen and her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Hamburg.
