Brief description of my doctoral project

As the dominant organizational form of the digital economy, digital platforms are increasingly shaping social processes, particularly in the fields of media and information dissemination. Alongside established, commercial platforms, social-mission platforms are gaining prominence; these platforms specifically aim to create social value and pursue alternative approaches to value generation. This doctoral project examines how the governance of such platforms must be structured to coordinate multiple actors within meta-organizational ecosystems enabled by digital infrastructures, while simultaneously fulfilling both economic and societal objectives. The goal is to develop a well-founded understanding of platform governance under conditions of multiple objectives and to derive design principles for digital platforms oriented toward the common good.
