Students of the hsa_digileg are trained in a critical and interdisciplinary debate on the basis of practical projects and learn to identify and name social and ethical aspects associated with digitization and to take them into account in a productive way during development.

The framework of the hsa_digileg’s projects is formed by innovative IT applications, which are already accompanied reflexively in the development process and examined for their social effects and normative implications. Projects developed by students in cooperation with external project partners (mostly SMEs from the region) as part of the student innovation lab at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences (HSA_innolab) are particularly suitable for this purpose, as are final projects, especially in the master’s programs in the fields of computer science and design, provided they are related to digitality.
