Brief description of my doctoral project
While electromagnetic wave-based communication systems have transformed society and industry, they cannot interact directly with living beings. To bridge this gap, communication systems must utilize nature’s information carriers: molecules. This led to the emerging field of molecular communication, which aims to develop systems that can interface with natural molecule-based communication processes. However, such systems face challenges such as turbulent molecule propagation and low-resolution sensors. To address them, I investigate the fundamental principles enabling the reliability of natural molecular communication despite these challenges. Then, I translate these insights into mathematical models and deep learning-based schemes that blend natural and synthetic communication.
