The goal of the bidt is to better understand the developments and challenges posed by digital transformation, and to contribute to shaping the digital future in a responsible manner, geared towards the common good.

In addition to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Managing Director, three other bodies guide the work of the Institute: the Board of Trustees, the Advisory Board and the Project Advisory Board. The bidt is committed to ensuring equal representation of women and men in all board positions.

The Board of Trustees supports the networking that takes place between the bidt and society. Its members include representatives from politics, university and business associations as well as the media and civil society.
