The goal of the bidt is to better understand the developments and challenges posed by digital transformation, and to contribute to shaping the digital future in a responsible manner, geared towards the common good.
In addition to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Managing Director, three other bodies guide the work of the Institute: the Board of Trustees, the Advisory Board and the Project Advisory Board. The bidt is committed to ensuring equal representation of women and men in all board positions.
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees supports the networking that takes place between the bidt and society. Its members include representatives from politics, university and business associations as well as the media and civil society.
The Advisory Board advises the bidt on the technical and content-related approach. International representatives from business and science find involvement here.
Project Advisory Board
The Project Advisory Board advises the bidt Board of Directors with regard to the performance of its duties and provides suggestions for research and development projects. Its members are professionally qualified members of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) as well as other external scientists.
